Summer Fun Part 3

Oh my!  The leaves are changing and falling already, and I haven't even finished posting about the summer yet.  Well, I better get it done while it is still officially "summer" for three more days.  Weren't we just having upper 80 degree weather just last week? We went to more parks We always love going to the "train" park to watch the trains go by. Pump-it-Up Time Buddy's first rock-climbing attempt.  He only got as far as the second picture shows. Playing with mud and water in  the backyard. Blueberry picking at Mercer Slough .  This will definitely be a yearly tradition. More time at the beach We made it to the fair for the first time.  Unfortunately, my memory card got full just a couple of pictures in. Grinding wheat at the Pioneer Farm exhibit. Whidbey Island Vacation

I'm a bit behind in my posting.  Fall will be starting next week, but I still have a lot of summer backlogged.  One of our biggest trips was our wonderful vacation to Whidbey Island at the end of August.  We really haven't had a true vacation that didn't include visiting family since the boys were born, so this was a real treat. My parents also came along for the ride so it was nice to have a multi-generational vacation.  We got a vacation rental right on Mutiny Bay so we spent a lot of time on the beach. Monday was supposed to be a bit rainy so we decided to go into "town" for that day.  We spent the morning dodging the rain in Langley.  The boys really liked the 'statios (statues) that overlooked the bay.
