So, I'm the worst about not talking to strangers. I'm constantly talking to moms I've never met that I see at playgrounds or anywhere else really. I've always been like this. My mom tells the story of taking me to the park, and all the kids saying "bye, Alisha" when I had to go. When asked how they knew my name, I just said, "I told them." Of course, I didn't know any of their names! Noah is just like me. He thinks that all the kids at the park are his "friends", and he doesn't have a worry in the world when it comes to strangers. I know that this is important though. I don't want him thinking that he can go off with just anyone. Hopefully, I can convey this message.
Monday is a stay-at-home day. I'm starting to feel like this is a good routine for us. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at home and Tuesday, Thursday out of the house.
7:30-8:00 - Breakfast with Devotions from The Jesus Storybook Bible and Memory Verse (We are going to be adding to our Bible verse again. It is now "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." I believe this will be challenging, but we have all week to get it down.) Noah continues to enjoy listening to the verse after we say it on his Scripture Lullabies CD.
8:00-9:00 - Playtime and Daddy time.
9:00-9:15 - Talk about our new Monet picture. Read one of our Monet books.
9:15-9:45 - Exercise for kids DVD. This never happened last week since we had that disruption. Hopefully, we'll get to do it this time.
9:45-10:00 - Snack and sing alphabet song (we're still struggling to remember "M").
10:00-10:30 - While still seated at the table, read some of our books about strangers. Give Zach something to play with so we can actually accomplish this.
10:30-11:00 - Free Play
11:00-11:30 - Paper Bag Puppet Craft (so we can do some stranger role-playing with them later)
11:30-12:00 - Lunch while reading more library books.
12:00-12:30 - Watch Monet movie while Mama puts Zach down for a nap.
12:30-1:00 - Play with Daddy while he's home for lunch.
1:00 - Quiet time (which sometime turns into naptime) while listening to Mozart's Magnificent Voyage.

Tuesday will be just like last week. Breakfast out with Daddy. Mops. Pick up Daddy. Home. Lunch. Quiet time. Nice and straight forward.
Wednesday is another stay-at-home day. Here is our plan.
7:30-8:00 - Breakfast with Devotions and Memory Verse
8:00-9:00 - Playtime and Daddy time
9:00-9:20 - Exercise for kids DVD.
9:50-10:10 - Snack and read books.
10:10-10:45 - Go outside and collect leaves for craft.
11:15-11:30 - Playtime.
11:30-12:00 - Lunch and sing alphabet song.
12:00-12:30 - Watch a movie while Mama puts Zach down for a nap.
12:30-1:00 - Play with Daddy while he's home for lunch.
1:00 - Quiet time
Thursday is traditional preschool.
Friday
7:30-8:00 - Breakfast with Devotions and Memory Verse
8:00-9:00 - Playtime and Daddy time
9:00-9:20 - Exercise for kids DVD.
9:20-9:50 - Playtime
9:50-10:10 - Snack and read books
10:10-10:45 - Playdough
10:45-11:15 - Fishing for pumpkin letters activity (assuming that Zach will let us). I printed out some pumpkin letters from here that I'm going to put paper clips on. Then, we are going to use our magnetic fishing pole to pick up the pumpkins off the floor. After he picks them up, we are going to talk about that letter and say its sound. I hope Zach will let us do this, otherwise we might have to try again after he's asleep for his nap.
11:15-11:30 - Playtime
11:30-12:00 - Lunch and sing alphabet song.
12:00-12:30 - Coloring page about "Trust in the Lord" while Mommy puts Zach to sleep.
I think that should do it. I have a feeling that we won't be very strict about our "schedule" this week, but it is nice to have a plan anyway. It keeps the days moving.
Aubrey is the same way with strangers, I know this week is over today, but I thought I'd still recommend the Berenstain Bears Strangers book. here is the link on Amazon, http://www.amazon.com/Berenstain-Bears-Learn-About-Strangers/dp/0394873343/ref=sr_1_8?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1287790057&sr=1-8 it gives a good perspective on strangers without being scary, you can probably find it in the library if you like.

We actually have that book, and we like it a lot.
